Cheap, not always cheerful

In what seems to be a regular reminder on these pages, can I just advise that as this alleged credit crunch tightens around us, please think twice before parting with your hard-earned money for what on the surface may appear to be a bargain. There are often reasons why Lambretta headlight rims are offered on eBay for a fraction of the price from your local reputable dealer and while some are genuine, often it’s because they don’t fit or are made of low quality tin foil. It’s often a false economy as you’ll end up buying a decent one in the long run and the total of both will inevitably cost you more.

Scootering Magazine first hit the streets in 1985, making 2006 the year of our 21st anniversary. To celebrate this momentous occasion we delved into the Scootering archives to bring you memories from yesteryear which we published at the July edition (number 241).
